Harsh Quotes That Will Hurt Like Crazy but Will Make You a Better Person
In the story of becoming a better person,
there’s a harsh and important phase that you must go
through to reach your destination.
It is filled with harsh truths about yourself and the world.
But regardless of how much it hurts,
this phase will make you a better person.
I had my experience of taking the red pill about myself and the world.
I used to blame people for almost everything bad that happened to me,
but then I examined my emotions and thoughts closely,
and matched them with my actions, realizing I was lying to myself.
It is an unpleasant feeling knowing that you were the main cause
of your pain, but it relieves you.
The world will never tell you that you are wrong; that’s why I wrote this article.

Life is short
One of the best eye-opening moments of my life was when I realized I am not the center of the universe.
Traveling opened my eyes to that truth.
We humans tend to think that everything revolves around us
due to our ego.
But the harsh truth is that our lives are finite,
and none of us will live forever.
This is a gentle reminder from me and your future self
to stop treating yourself like an afterthought.
Pursue your dreams, go out on that adventure, leave that bad job,
eat that delicious food, jump in the ocean, walk in the sunshine….
Be silly, be you, be kind, be weird…
There is no time for anything else.
“Dead people receive more flowers than living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude.”
It is in human nature to appreciate something only after it has been lost.
When my grandmother died, a lot of people came to the funeral.
People I have never seen visiting her or showing much concern for her.
That made me realize the truth in this quote.
“The best math you can calculate is the Future cost of your decisions.”
The best way to live in peace with yourself is to align your
present action with your future expectation.
Whenever I am about to make a big decision,
I ask myself if my future self would approve,
and that makes decision-making easy for me.
I understood that if a person can see the future impact of their actions,
they would make fewer bad decisions.
Strength in accepting the harsh reality about people
The courage to accept that the world is filled with ugly behaviors,
nasty actions, and manipulation is a testament to strength.
I have had several experiences at social events that have opened my eyes to people.
A lot of the lessons I learned the hard way,
dealing with managers, CEOs, narcissistic colleagues, and envious friends,
are reflected in these quotes:
“The problem today is people don’t cherish good people, they try to use them.”
In the corporate world, be vigilant because people
will try to take advantage of you.
Someone once copied my work and presented it as theirs
without giving any credit. This happens with many people.
Not everyone deserves the goodness in you.
“Some people think they are looking for love, but they are actually looking for someone who can tolerate their harmful behavior.”
“Sometimes, giving someone a second chance is like giving them an extra bullet for their gun because they missed you the first time.”
“People don’t care for you when you are alone. They just care for you when they are alone.”
Robert Greene, the author of The Laws of Human Nature,
taught me to accept the world for what it is.
It is a liberating experience when you accept that your friend
can betray you, you can be fired from your job at any moment,
your business might go bankrupt,
and you might lose your life at any moment.
Nothing in this world is promised.
This made me take life less seriously and go with the flow,
live the way I want, and never let fear control my choices.
“Stop expecting honesty from people who lie to themselves. Honesty is a really expensive gift, cheap people can’t afford it.”
Self-reliance
I am a fairly independent person emotionally and financially,
thanks to my introverted nature.
I used to think many people were just like me until
I realized some people hate being alone.
The good side of this trait is that you connect with people more often
and understand them, but the bad side is that your mental health
can be dependent on them.
People are moody and can change.
When they change and move from you,
it feels like a part of you was taken away,
and that’s a position you never want to put yourself in.
Here are some of the harsh quotes to reflect what I said:
“Learn to fight alone and depend on yourself. It’s your life, your responsibility, your choices, and your success.”
“If they don’t see the value of having you, don’t try to convince them.”
“Remember who ignored you while you needed them and who helped you before you even had to ask.”
“No one is coming to save you this life of yours is 100% your responsibility.”
“When you fully trust someone without any doubt, you finally get one of two results: A person for life or a lesson for life.”
Fitting in
You betray your soul every time you try to fit in
because you are afraid of being alone.
I had to leave a group of friends because the only way to stay around them was to wear a mask.
Here are several quotes about not fitting in:
“People treat you exactly how they feel about you. Be blind if you want to.”
“It’s okay to let go of people who aren’t good for you, even if you’ve been friends for years.”
“Never trust someone who has let you down more than two times. Once was a warning. Twice was a lesson, and anything more than that is simply just taking advantage.”
Success and Character
Everyone wants to succeed until they see what it takes.
Success doesn’t come easy, and neither does a strong character.
I can tell myself I am successful because I achieved everything
I set my mind on.
I created this blog and grew my Facebook page to 1.6 million followers.
It came easily, and here are some harsh quotes that helped me throughout the journey:
“Failure is a part of life If you don’t fail, you don’t learn, If you don’t learn, you’ll never change.”
“Be teachable, you’re not always right.”
“The man who graduates today and stops learning tomorrow is uneducated the day after.”
Inner peace
Inner peace is never achieved by doing external work
but by knowing yourself thoroughly.
I meditate and journal my dreams for self-reflection.
These are my secret sauces for inner peace.
Here are some quotes to help you achieve a good level of peace:
“You will continue to suffer if you have an emotional reaction to everything that is said to you. True power is sitting back and observing everything with logic.” – Bruce Lee
“In order to heal, we must forgive. And sometimes, the person we must forgive is ourselves.”
“A man settles where he finds peace. Not money, not beauty, not status but peace.”
Integrity in bad circle
If you are a good person at heart who wishes people well,
you will have a very hard time.
You must develop the skill of discernment
and know when to apply integrity.
The world can be a very nasty place with no rules.
I once heard someone say that bad company corrupts good people.
I watched a friend who had a good,
promising future destroy himself totally because he aligned himself with certain people.
Many others and I warned him, but he didn’t listen.
Here are some quotes that will open your eyes:
“If you expect the world to be fair to you because you are fair, you’re fooling yourself. That’s like expecting the lion not to eat you because you didn’t eat him.”
“You can’t change others, but you can change yourself.”
“I don’t care if it’ll hurt my feelings. You have to always tell me the truth. Let me get mad and upset, but I’ll respect you more for the truth.”
Composure and decision-making
“When someone tries to trigger you by insulting you or by doing or saying something that irritates you, take a deep breath and switch off your ego. Remember that: if you are easily offended, you are easily manipulated.”
“Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Right is right, even if no one is doing it.”
“Just because I disagree with you, does not mean that I hate you. We need to relearn that in our society.”
“I don’t understand why people get mad when they get rejected by somebody or something. They have done you a favor by not wasting your time and playing with you.”
“Stupid is Knowing the truth, seeing the truth, but still believing the lies.”
“Don’t be too confident when someone tells you they like you. The real question is, until when? Because just like seasons, people Change.”
“The quality of your thinking determines the quality of your life.”
“Once you reach a certain age, it is your responsibility to unlearn behaviors that hinder your growth as a person. Nobody is coming to save you. Get up. Be your own hero.”

Hi Mr. Lucky,
Love these, “33 Harsh Quotes That Will Hurt Like Crazy but Will Make You a Better Person”.
I wonder how they are received by a young person who is examining the thought’s for the first time. For me, as a loner, they were all self examined and thought out, but #33 was brutal to see in writing. I remember exactly where I was when I realized I was on my own figuring out something that I didn’t have a clue where to start, but deduced what to do one step at a time.
I look forward to reading more of your thought provoking quotes, and commend you for teaching life lessons the kind way.
