is that high intelligence makes life universally easier.

It is commonly assumed that intelligent individuals

move through the world with an automatic discount—learning faster,

making better choices, and encountering fewer obstacles.

Consequently, becoming smarter is often at the top of the list

of qualities people wish to change about themselves.

However, high intelligence does not remove problems;
